WHERE THE WATER LEADS

[TIMELESS]
A CLUB SET APART
On Florida’s West Coast, there is a slender stretch of land where the Gulf meets the calm waters of Clearwater Bay and the Intracoastal Waterway
Tucked quietly between them sits Carlouel Beach & Yacht Club — a place shaped by sun, water, and nearly a century of Old Florida tradition.

[UNSPOILED]
YOUR PRIVATE SHORE
Just south of Caladesi Island State Park lies a stretch of coastline known mostly to members.
A private boardwalk leads from the Club to a shoreline that feels wonderfully removed from the crowds — because it is. Morning walks along the water. Afternoons drifting easily between swimming and conversation. Weekends where lunch and cocktails arrive right on the sand.
Flip-flops encouraged. Sunsets expected.

[FUTURE-BOUND]
A NEW ERA
Carlouel is preparing for a thoughtful transformation. A $38 million investment will introduce a reimagined clubhouse with expanded dining venues, welcoming social spaces, and enhanced family amenities. All this will elevate the member experience while preserving the traditions that have defined Carlouel for generations.
Everything will feel new. Yet still unmistakably Carlouel.
[STORIED]
THE MEANING OF CARLOUEL
Carlouel’s story began in 1934 when a small group of families created a cabana club along the quiet shores of Clearwater Beach.
Even the name carries that legacy. It was formed from the first syllables of three founding women — Caroline Hobart, Louise Palmer, and Eleanor Randolph — whose families shaped the Club’s earliest days.
That same spirit remains nearly a century later. Distinctive. Memorable. And deeply family-centered.

[WELCOMING]
THE ONLY REQUIREMENT
Carlouel has always been refreshingly different from many yacht clubs.
You don’t need to own a boat to belong here. Some members arrive barefoot from the beach. Others drive in from downtown.
Either way, the goal is simple: Enjoy the day.
[RELAXED]
TIE UP, STEP ASHORE, SETTLE IN
For those who love the water, Carlouel offers more than 400 feet of floating dockage, with slips accommodating yachts up to 70 feet long.
Spend the morning fishing offshore. Cruise the Intracoastal in the afternoon. Then return to the Club where dinner, conversation, and familiar faces await.
At Carlouel, the water is never far.

[ADVENTUROUS]
CONNECTIONS ALONG THE COAST
Carlouel’s community extends well beyond our shoreline. As a member of the Florida Council of Yacht Clubs, Carlouel members enjoy reciprocal privileges at 36 distinguished clubs throughout the state.
Closer to home, members also enjoy social and recreational opportunities through Tampa Yacht & Country Club and the Stovall House.
Wherever your journey leads, Carlouel opens the door.
